Square, Product Designer

  • Designer for the commerce platform catalog mobile and catalog management teams.

  • Support platform efforts for the square catalog, creating catalog features that can support all business verticals, including retail, restaurants, and appointments.

Recharge Payments, Senior Product Designer

May 2021–December 2022

  • Designing software to help e-commerce businesses seamlessly implement subscriptions. Recharge supports subscriptions for all business sizes and needs, from plug-and-play Shopify integrations to developer-first in depth API documentation.

  • Serve as a senior product designer on a design team of two, embedding into teams as needed to support the 200+ member product and engineering team.

  • Leading design for a new product line that will allow Recharge to support paid memberships for merchants and unlock critical new verticals for the business.

  • Designed a new home page for the app, serving as sole designer from research to post-launch design support. Leveraged my user research to influence the scope and direction of the project.

  • Head UI and UX designer for adding the support of multiple payment methods in Recharge’s customer portal, worked to untangle complex data structures and support multiple payment processors to create usable designs to allow users to manage multiple payment methods within their account. The ability to add multiple payment methods was a top requested feature for our merchants.

  • Redesigned the UI of the app to be stylistically consistent with the Recharge brand following a rebrand. The redesign consisted of a complete overhaul of the color, typography, illustration style, and visual language of the app.

  • Pair with other stakeholders to develop a Recharge design system. Tasks include designing components and guidelines, identifying design system needs, auditing the app for consistency, and working with front end engineering to develop and adopt patterns.

March 2020–May 2021

Spreetail, User Experience Designer

  • Serve as the dedicated designer for the Money team. Designed SKU Scout, a product that reduced market research time by 33% in its first iteration.

  • Conducted an Information Architecture audit with the purpose of evaluating existing naming conventions and creating a new naming schema.

  • Crafted and deployed a new version of Voice & Tone and Grammar for Meta, the Spreetail Design System.

  • Created new filtering components and guidelines for the Meta Design System.

  • Use Figma to create prototypes, wireframes, and other design artifacts as needed for engineering handoff or to communicate vision and strategy.

  • Work with engineers to ensure designs are implemented as designed.

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand user and stakeholder needs.

  • Facilitate and participate in group design critiques.

  • Build usable and intuitive analytics features using machine learning data.

  • Use Figma to create UI and UX prototypes at various fidelities.

  • Coordinate with PMs, designers, and engineers to ensure features are implemented as designed.
